Season 3 of Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is imminent, and with it will come the new mode, The Summit. Tasking players to take down a 100-story skyscraper full of dynamic enemies and layout, it is something many players are looking forward to as an important PvE element. However, for new players, there is still a substantial campaign to enjoy. Ubisoft is making sure everyone has a chance to experience The Division 2, with a free weekend from September 24 to 28.
As per previous free weekends, you will be able to enjoy the entire The Division 2 experience. The difference this time around is that your progress will carry over. Once you decide to join other players in securing Washington DC, you do not have to repeat the stuff you have played through. Ubisoft is also making it more affordable for interested players to jump in. The Division 2 will be getting discounts up to 85% during this period. This applies to all of the add-on content as well, which is a sweet deal.
The road ahead
Season 4 of The Division 2 will be coming in December. The development roadmap shared by the developers also detailed a special event for winter. Codename: Nightmare seems to hint at something nefarious, and we can expect perhaps some horrifying action to follow later this year.
In order to enjoy the free weekend, all you have to do is head to Uplay of the Epic Games Store. You can then enjoy The Division 2 from the morning of September 24, 9 AM to the late afternoon on September 28 at 4 PM.
If somehow you make enough progress to attempt The Summit, there is much lying in wait. The highly replayable mode will see various objectives for the 100 floors. There will be plenty of loot to be found as well, so you can expect to be rewarded for overcoming challenges.
