Despite the latest delays, we are only about a week away from experiencing Season 1 for both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. As part of this new content drop, developer Treyarch is sharing more information on what the community can expect come December 16. Aside from the usual assortment of new maps, weapons, and the like, some potentially important facets of Season 1 for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War are the new scorestreaks for the multiplayer arena.
As shared by Lead Gameplay Designer Tony Flame over the weekend, there will be more Cold War guns and attachments on the way. Whether you are in search of new firearms or are just looking forward to augmenting your favorites, you are covered. In addition to the cross-progression, players have more to look forward to.
New maps such as the popular Raid map are coming, while there will be more Blueprints and Operators as well. Additional game modes will also be included in Season 1 as part of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War update.
Cold War guns and Attachments in Warzone? Oh yes. The best of both worlds come together in Season 1, with cross-game progression to boot. Expect new Weapons, Scorestreaks, maps (Raid!!!), Game modes, Blueprints, Operators, and more. https://t.co/PbeIyboMoa

Mixing it up
Then there are the scorestreaks. Prior leaks before launch saw some interesting variety in the world of scorestreaks. There were indications of a flamethrower, something called a death machine, and a strafing run option. These streaks have yet to make their appearances in the game. They could be part of the upcoming content, or perhaps we can expect even more new stuff.
Another potentially new addition in terms of maps might be the leaked Rebirth map. As part of Activision’s tease for Black Ops Cold War Season 1, we know that a classified Warzone experience is incoming. The new Rebirth map might just be it. The small island will surely make for some intense action. The similarity to the Alcatraz map from Blackout should make for some fond memories.
All the talk of new content is sure to get players hyped up ahead of the new season. And that is how Activision and Treyarch would like it.
