Cyberpunk 2077 photo mode includes Dark Souls praise the sun emote

Believe it or not (and we won’t until its live), Cyberpunk 2077 is almost a week away from launch. It looks like we’ve passed the point of no return then, as developer CD Projekt Red works to hype the game up even more. Its latest trailer is one for you photo mode fans, as the feature in Cyberpunk 2077 gets fully detailed.

Like the rest of CD Projekt Red’s upcoming RPG, photo mode doesn’t look half-assed. There’s tons of options here, including depth of field effects, vignette options, borders and frames, stickers, color filters and character stances. I mean, there’s a legit praise the sun character stance here, made famous in From Software’s Dark Souls series. A nice homage.

The trailer showcasing the mode gets straight to the point, a departure from the more in-depth Night City Wire episodes. There’s no commentary, explanations of features or context for the images taken. It just shows a bunch of characters posing in and around Night City, and what an interesting city it looks.

Welcome to Night City

More than anything else, this new look at photo mode reminds us of how good Night City looks. It’s been almost a decade in the making, and we’re very much looking forward to exploring every nook and cranny. Having said that, Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to be a pretty big undertaking, and we’re certainly gonna utilize the city’s various vehicles to get about.

These were shown off in a trailer back in October, and there’s some solid variety to these cyber rides. Developer CD Projekt Red has made a point to include everything from beat-up old bangers to its versions of hypercars. While the latter will surely be more suited to Night City’s neon soaked streets, we’re not going to resist drifting around the badlands in a beat-up sedan. Photo mode opportunities will arise.

Cyberpunk 2077 finally launches for PC on December 10.
