If you have not enjoyed the rocking good times of Disco Elysium, what are you waiting for? One of the best roleplaying games to have come out in recent memories, ZA/UM’s genre-bending epic has plenty going for it. The detective elements of the game stand out, with the traditional pen-and-paper roleplaying mechanics an amazing implementation as well. With twists and turns enough to satisfy even the most ardent of RPG fans, it is one game that should not be missed. However, if you are one of those who have, you can remedy that soon. Announced at The Game Awards 2020, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will be the definitive experience of this masterpiece, and it already has a release date.
Coming in March 2021, the game will arrive on digital storefronts as well as Mac and Google Stadia. The open-world RPG does not have many areas to improve on, but this complete edition will come with some bells and whistles.
The Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will add voice acting to the game. That will certainly immerse players further in this surreal world. You can also expect more interesting dialogue as part of the package. New areas will also be added for players to explore to their hearts’ content.
Taking care of the people
ZA/UM is sweetening the pot even further. For owners of the game, you will be getting a free upgrade to this better version.
If you are a true hardcore fan, there is also a Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Collector’s Edition up for pre-order. It will come with a vinyl Mind Totem sculpture, a 190-page hardbound art book, a physical copy of the game, and an illustrated fabric map of Martinaise. Unfortunately, the game is the console version. It will set you back $250 and ships in 2021.
Nevertheless, fresh content to enjoy is always a good thing. Not to mention the addition of voice acting. The many scenes in the game deserves a stellar performance, and it is more likely than not that ZA/UM delivers in that regard.
