There’s a new Wish that awaits players in Genshin Impact this coming weekly reset. It’s the “Sparkling Steps” Wish that features Klee, Xingqiu, Sucrose, and Noelle.
That sounds all well and good. After all, in Genshin Impact‘s character roster, Klee is considered one of the better ones you can recruit to your party. The problem, however, is that the promotional Wish has some fairly mediocre characters included.
Genshin Impact‘s “Sparkling Steps” Wish
I’ve heard only good things about Klee, so you might enjoy using her in Genshin Impact. Of course, if you already have a Pyro combatant like Xiangling or the powerhouse Diluc, then getting Klee might not be a priority. The rest of the rewards, though, don’t give me high hopes.
Firstly, Noelle (seen below) was already included as part of the “Beginner’s Wish” when the game initially launched. I doubt a lot of players are using her since the Geo element isn’t known for rapid elemental combos and burst damage.
As for Sucrose and Venti, I don’t think they’ll ever join my main team. In Sucrose’s case, I obtained Venti via the “Ballad of Goblets” Wish, and he’s one of the best Anemo-based characters already. As for Xingqiu, I have to admit that I’m not too familiar with him. I do know he’s a Hydro-based character, but I have Barbara (healer) and Mona (DPS) as part of my roster already.
If you don’t want to spend your fates, primogems, or cash on these characters, you can simply try them out via test runs. These mini-encounters let you use the character in an instanced fight just to learn their skills and abilities. You even get nifty event rewards.
Likewise, there’s the “Epitome Invocation” Wish for weapons. The two five-star weapons being offered are the Wolf’s Gravestone (claymore) and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds (catalyst).
Genshin Impact‘s “Sparkling Steps” Wish and new “Epitome Invocation” goes live on October 20 at 6 p.m. in a specific timezone for your chosen server. It’s GMT-5 for those in North America, GMT+1 for those in Europe, and GMT+8 for those in Asia.
Bear in mind that Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game, so it’s a bit grindy and there are loads of microtransactions. Try not to go overboard since it can be a bit wasteful. You can learn more about these concepts in our Wishes and microtransactions guide as well as our guides and features hub.
