GOG’s Cyberpunk 2077 will be GeForce Now compatible on launch day

It is just a couple more days before the whole world descends upon Night City. CD Projekt Red’s next big roleplaying game, Cyberpunk 2077, will arrive on December 10. Players can choose from different backstories, and blaze their own paths into futuristic heaven. Of course, you also have your options when it comes to choosing just where to play the game. Console players will have their own systems, but for PC players, the different storefronts are there for the choosing. Even better, it has been confirmed that GOG’s version of Cyberpunk 2077 can be played on GeForce Now at launch.

This follows after Steam announced back in February that its version of the game would be able to do so as well. As long as you are a GeForce Now member, you will be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 through the streaming service on the first day. No matter which of these digital storefronts you get the game on, the streaming service is covered.

Do note that only the English-language version of Cyberpunk 2077 from GOG will be supported at the start. More languages will be added in the near future.

Making big moves

This is certainly a big move for GeForce Now. Unlike the rest of the competition, the service does not boast its own storefront. Instead, it allows users to draw from their collections on other storefronts. Scoring a blockbuster game like Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely increase its appeal.

Cyberpunk 2077 GeForce Now

Of course, the service is not without its controversy. Both creators and publishers have expressed some reticence when it comes to joining the platform. However, this will not be the case for both Steam and GOG when it comes to CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077.

The GeForce Now partnership for GOG is also set to be just the beginning. The platform has teased more to come in the future. As for Cyberpunk 2077 itself, we have yet to receive access in any form. Once we do, we will be sure to get our review out so you can know how life is in Night City.
