Minecraft Dungeons: Howling Peaks DLC drops in December alongside new season pass

Mojang Studios have certainly given Minecraft plenty of love over the last week. Following Minecraft Live 2020, where we saw the brand new Glow Squid join the family of mobs in the world of Minecraft, we now know of more content that will soon arrive in Minecraft Dungeons. Following the releases of Jungle Awakens in July, as well as Creeping Winter in September, December will feature the Minecraft Dungeons: Howling Peaks DLC. The next update will send players on adventures in the high mountains.

That will also mean new mobs to defeat, gear to collect, and of course, a new boss in the form of the Tempest Golem. Minecraft Dungeons Howling Peaks is not the only content to look forward to, either. November will bring a free update that will enable crossplay. Soon you will be able to team up with anyone, regardless of platform. This will certainly make Minecraft Dungeons: Howling Peaks a hoot to power through.

Upping the ante

Another free update called Apocalypse Plus will also arrive in December. If you thought the game had no more to offer, you would be wrong. This new update will add even more challenges with 20 new difficulties past Apocalypse 7, which is the current hardest. The Arch-Illager is definitely not pulling any punches. Players can expect even more dangerous mobs and better rewards at these higher difficulties.

While details on the Howling Peaks DLC are still unclear, we can catch glimpses of what’s to come to Minecraft Dungeons in the teaser that was shared. The arrival of this DLC will also signal a new season pass. That will also come in December, so fans of Minecraft Dungeons should feel good about the end of the year.

Minecraft Dungeons is available on the Microsoft Store. You can pick up the base game for $19.99, but the Hero Edition (which includes all of the DLCs) will run you an extra $9.99. Prices are in USD.
