Supergiant Games’ Hades 1.0 just recently launched to great fanfare. The adventure throughout the realm of the underworld has charmed and impressed players everywhere, and the great content is not stopping anytime soon. Those who are eager to get an early look at what is coming next can now sign up for the Hades test branch on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. This way, you will be getting your hands on the latest updates before they go live for the rest of the world.
Of course, there will be certain caveats to early access. It is not for everyone, as Supergiant reminds us. Only those who are struggling with certain technical issues, or really want to help out with testing, should consider the Hades test branch. According to a Discord readme, it illustrates what awaits in the Hades test branch. Bug fixes and other work-in-progress content will be implemented ahead of official patches. Players will be helping to test these additions to ensure they are suitable to be released to the general public.
A long journey
That said, content found in the Hades test branch may not all come to the official game. There will also not be a specific schedule for the updates, nor should you be expecting patch notes detailing changes. With the official launch of Hades, the team will also be taking a short break following post-release patches. So if you are hoping for immediate content, you will need to manage those expectations accordingly.
Want an early preview of our next post-launch patch? It'll have balance changes, a new decorative theme, new voice lines for several characters, fixes, and more.
